Dr. Cosgrove is a board certified adult psychiatrist specializing in women’s mental health and reproductive psychiatry. She attended medical school at Touro University California and completed her adult psychiatry residency with a focus on perinatal psychiatry at Northwell Zucker Hillside Hospital. During her residency she served as chief resident of inpatient services. She has extensive training and experience working with women who have mental health needs arising during the premenstrual period, during pregnancy and postpartum, and during the transition to menopause. She strongly believes in the utilization of psychotherapy and lifestyle changes in conjunction with evidence based use of medication to reduce distress and regain functioning. She previously served as physician-in-charge of Zucker Hillside’s Perinatal Psychiatry Center and has presented nationally on the topic of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and a member of the Katz Institute of Women’s Health. She currently practices in Huntington, NY.

Hannah Knafo, PhD is a Clinical Psychologist and the Director of the Perinatal Psychiatry Center at Zucker Hillside Hospital. At the Perinatal Center, Dr. Knafo co-manages the interdisciplinary team providing mental health care to perinatal patients, supervises psychology trainees, and provides direct patient care within the perinatal program. Dr. Knafo received her doctorate degree from The New School for Social Research and pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training at Montefiore Medical Center.
