I hold a unique and synergistic role at Northwell.  I am the Vice President of the OB/GYN Service Line, the Associate Regional Ambulatory Physician Executive and the Director of OB/GYN Services at the Katz Institute for Women’s Health. In this position, I can effectuate change well across multiple disciplines to bring about the best clinical outcomes with the highest quality and innovative initiatives and creation of multi-disciplinary women’s health care centers.
I was invited to apply and was accepted as a member of the prestigious New York Obstetrical Society, and I am the elected Chair for ACOG District II, Section III.  As part of my role at ACOG, I work closely with the advisory team creating policy that translates on the regional and national stage.  My research on education of Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) and collaborative care models contributes to national standard of care development.  I am also a thought leader and nationally recognized as a certified member of the National Menopause Society.

I collaborate with local and national organizations and have been a strategic leader in the development of education and research for menopausal   I leveraged this expertise, have grant and research recognition and am the clinical lead for the development of Northwell Health’s mid-life women’s Health program.
I have been a featured lecturer within the industry and have been invited to give webinars and grand rounds at regional, national, and international meetings.  I am an Associate Professor at the Hofstra School of Medicine.
Create and innovative – I continue to build my leadership style.  I co-founded and co-direct Northwell Health’s first female physician leadership program.  The
CALLS (Career Advancement Learning Leadership and Strategy) Program is Northwell’s first two-tiered program for mentors and high-level advocates for female physicians 2-5 years out of training.  The program includes course work on emotional intelligence and active listening as well as networking events that highlight how women can advocate for themselves.  It is a nationally recognized program and was a break-out session at the Equal Leaders – 16th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference and this year’s WLISS conference.
I attended the College of the Holy Cross and then did graduate work at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.  I am a former Fulbright scholar in Kenya and then attended the Albert Einstein School of Medicine.  I did my residency in OB/GYN at Weil Cornell.

Dr. Sneha Shrivastava is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hostra/Northwell, Director of Women’s Health Education at the Division of General Internal Medicine and an associate program director director at the Internal Medicine residency program at North short/LIJ. She is a practicing general internist and a women’s health clinician. She is a menopause society certified provider, practices at 865 Northern Blvd, S102, Great Neck and accepting new patients. She earned her medical degree from St. Georges University and Master of Medical Education from Hofstra University. She completed her internal medicine training from Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and general internal medicine fellowship with a focus on WH education from Northwell Health. She has WH related publications in the medical literature, written book chapter on PCOS, has given many talks on menopause and have been a part of the menopause collaborative from KIWH. She recently received a grant from Zucker School of medicine to improve menopause education and is creating a microlearning-based menopause curriculum for Internal medicine residents.  Dr. Shrivastava is passionate about providing WH care clinically and WH education for med students, residents and fellows and faculty.

Dr. Vanessa Soviero is a board certified OB/GYN physician who has been in practice since 2005. In her current role, she is the Site Medical Director for OB/GYN of Islandia which is a practice comprised of 6 other OB/GYN physicians and 5 Nurse Practitioners. Her office is a certified Quad A facility, where she performs minor surgical procedures under in office sedation.

Dr Soviero is affiliated with South Shore University Hospital as well as South Shore Surgical Center. She is an associate professor of the Zucker School of Medicine. Dr Soviero’s focus is gynecological care along all phases of a women’s reproductive life with special attention on perimenopause and menopause care. She is a Menopause Certified Practitioner with The Menopause Society. She is also an active member of the Katz Institute of Women’s Health. She is bilingual speaking English and Spanish.

She sees patients 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, and she is accepting new patients. She performs minor gynecological procedures. She is passionate about womens care and she is an advocate of women’s empowerment to seek the care they need, require, and deserve.
