By age of 50, half of the population is found to have a thyroid nodule on imaging. In recent years due to increased imaging, prevalence of thyroid cancer has risen as well. Join us for a presentation introducing thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer which is a common problem that affects women’s health. Shuchie Jaggi, DO will be discussing signs and symptoms of thyroid nodules and when to seek out clinical care for the general audience. Clinical management will also be further discussed such as laboratory and imaging evaluation. Laura Ann Sznyter, MD will be providing more in-depth insight into the surgical management of thyroid nodules/cancer.
