Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Even though Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is common, it can be often misdiagnosed. Some women may experience symptoms for years before being diagnosed.

Polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS is a relatively common hormonal disorder that occurs in women at a reproductive stage. While the cause is not completely clear, the symptoms associated with PCOS can be obvious.
Causes can include problems with menstrual regularity, a tendency towards obesity, excess hair growth, acne, and fertility issues. Having PCOS can also up the risk for other health problems such as diabetes.

The good news is that effective treatments are available to address the condition. Join our experts, Rita Evelyn Landman, MD and Lilli Dash Zimmerman, MD to learn how to get ahead of PCOS.
