Dr. Winston is a board certified gastroenterologist dedicated to improving the gut health of her patients.
She performs upper endoscopy, esophageal pH monitoring, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy and video capsule endoscopy.
Dr. Winston prides herself in providing the highest quality, personalized and compassionate care to each one of her patients. She works tirelessly to get to the root cause of a patient’s symptoms and find the most effective treatment. Dr. Winston’s approach to gut health includes addressing diet and lifestyle factors along with thoughtful use of effective medications so that patients can get back to enjoying their lives again.

Sara Cerrone MD, FACP attended medical school at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency including chief resident at Hofstra-Northwell’s programs at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical center. She went on to complete a gastroenterology fellowship where she was the chief fellow at these same institutions. Currently she is Chief of Gastroenterology at Peconic Bay medical center and assistant professor of medicine at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell. She is Northwell Health Physician Partner, member of Katz Institute of Women’s Health and one of founding physicians in Northwell’s Eastern Region Reflux and Heartburn center. She cares for patients primarily at Peconic Bay Medical Center and performs gastrointestinal motility and reflux testing at South Shore University Hospital.
