Sylvia A. Reyes, MD, MBS, FACS is a fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon with board certification in General Surgery. Dr. Reyes is the Director of the Northwell Cancer Institute Breast Services Health Equity program, Co-Director of the NAPBC accreditation program at LIJ/NSUH, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Zucker School of Medicine. She earned her Medical Degree and a Master of Biomedical Sciences degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). She then completed a clinical research fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a residency in general surgery at NJMS, and a surgical fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the University of Pennsylvania Abramson Cancer Center. Dr. Reyes works in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff at the Zuckerberg Cancer Center to ensure that patients receive the most advanced and appropriate breast cancer treatment, with a focus on holistic, equitable patient-centered care, as part of a personalized care plan. As a surgeon, she performs oncoplastic breast conserving surgery, nipple sparing mastectomies, and hidden scar surgery for benign and malignant breast disease. She has served on national medical committees, published in reputable journals and been recognized for her clinical research in breast cancer and health disparities. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and committed to providing the highest quality of cancer care to all.

Lee Ann has been a physician assistant for over 30 years. She started in general and then cardiothoracic surgery. She joined the breast surgery team working with Drs Erna Busch-Devereaux and Joyce Au in 2018, where she sees patients in the Huntington office for surgical and non-surgical management of both benign and malignant breast disease. Lee Ann brings a wealth of knowledge to the practice and participates in all aspects of patient care, from presurgical through post-op care and beyond. She assists both physicians in their surgical cases, manages genetic testing, and sees patients in the breast cancer survivorship program.
