Focused on the comprehensive cancer care of gynecologic oncology patients, Elena Pereira, MD, FACOG is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of these malignancies. Highly committed to improving the patient surgical experience, she specializes in state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgical techniques and believes in a global approach to post- operative recovery in order to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Pereira is trained in both advanced oncologic surgery and the administration of chemotherapy, which allows her to provide individualized care for her patients. Her translational and clinical research has been presented at multiple international meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Pereira continues to participate in innovative clinical trials, offering her patients distinctive therapeutic options.

Dr. Tymon-Rosario is a dedicated and compassionate gynecologic oncologist at Northwell Health. She is committed to providing exceptional care for women facing gynecologic cancers. Dr. Tymon-Rosario honed her expertise through her fellowship at Yale University, where she focused her research on innovative, personalized therapies for uterine, cervical, and ovarian cancers.
Driven by a passion for improving the lives of cancer survivors, she developed a program at Yale specifically designed to address the often-overlooked social and economic challenges faced by women with advanced ovarian cancer.
Now at Northwell, Dr. Tymon-Rosario leads the “MISS” program (Menopause, Intimacy, and Sexuality Symptoms), a unique initiative dedicated to helping women reclaim their sense of wholeness and improve their sexual health after cancer treatment.
As a rising star in the field of gynecologic oncology research, Dr. Tymon-Rosario is a SGO BRIDGES Research Initiative scholar and NRG Early Career Fellow. She is deeply committed to translating cutting-edge research into tangible improvements in patient care. Her work has already resulted in numerous publications, presentations, and contributions to the field. Dr. Tymon-Rosario aspires to lead groundbreaking clinical trials that will offer new hope and treatment options for women with gynecologic cancers.
