Linda A. Lee, MD, MBA, AGAF, FACP is Chief of Gastroenterology at Northwell NSUH/LIJ. She graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and her fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She then joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins, first as an NIH funded bench researcher, and then later as a clinical investigator, developing a clinical focus in GI disorders of the gut-brain axis. She was a co-investigator for the data coordinating center of the NIH Gastroparesis Clinical Research Consortium for over 16 years. She founded the Integrative Medicine & Digestive Center at Johns Hopkins, applying innovative and evidence-based approaches that empower patients with knowledge about the digestive system and its relationship to diet and behavioral health. She has served in a variety of administrative roles, including Clinical Director and Director of Endoscopy at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Chief Medical Officer at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, and Chief of Gastroenterology and Vice Chair of Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center.

Dr. David Purow attended Duke University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

With more than 23 years of clinical experience, Dr. Purow specializes in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease. Throughout his career, he has also held several administrative leadership roles while maintaining a busy clinical practice.

Dr. Purow has had a long-standing affiliation with the Katz Women’s Center and has a particular interest in women’s gastrointestinal health. He has participated in numerous conferences dedicated exclusively to women’s issues in gastroenterology.

Passionate about patient education, Dr. Purow is committed to making complex medical topics accessible and easy to understand. He has been featured in several educational videos for The Well by Northwell, Northwell Health’s online platform providing trusted, expert-driven health information to the public. His videos include practical guidance on topics such as what patients can expect before, during, and after a colonoscopy.
