Dr. De Marco Garcia is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and completed a Cardiac Surgery Clerkship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She is Board Certified in General and Vascular Surgery and Wound Management, having done her General Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital – Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. De Marco Garcia has practiced medicine on both coasts of the US, having delivered care for 16 years as a vascular surgeon and Wound Care Medical Director at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital in Washington State.   Eventually, moved back to NY as a member of the Eastern Region Northwell’s vascular surgery family in 2019.  Soon after joining, she became the Chief of Vascular surgery at Plainview Hospital as well as the Medical Director for Plainview’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center as well as the Eastern Region Medical Director for Vascular Ultrasound.  She is now part of Northwell’s central market as the Director of Vascular Surgery and Associate Chair of Surgery at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream.

She has presented professionally upwards of 30 times both in the US (regional and national conferences) and Buenos Aires on topics such as Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pelvic Venous Disease. Limb Salvage Interventions and Aortic disease. She has been published over 9 times as well as participated in the writing of book chapters.  She is actively participating in several Research Projects as site PI and holds several Professional Memberships.  She has particular interested in venous thrombosis, complex venous reconstructions, pelvic venous insufficiency, limb salvage, cost of medical care and AI in surgery.

Dr. De Marco Garcia speaks Spanish and English with some German, Italian and Portuguese, and in her free time enjoys traveling, skiing, diving with family and friends.  And especially notable to Northwell, Dr. De Marco Garcia was nominated for a Truly Award in 2021.

An internationally recognized vascular surgeon and vein specialist, Antonios P. Gasparis, MD, FACS serves as System Chief for Ambulatory Vascular and Vein Program at Northwell Health. Dr. Gasparis completed his residency in General Surgery at SUNY Syracuse, followed by a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at SUNY Stony Brook. He was on the faculty at Stony Brook from 2003-2023 and Professor of Surgery. During his tenure, he held multiple administrative positions and developed an internationally recognized venous program. Dr. Gasparis has been on the Board of several national organizations and is the Past-President of the American Venous Forum, the premier national society on venous disease. He is a true educator, running multiple educational programs in venous disease. He is a researcher and innovative surgeon who cares deeply for his patients and their families.
