During her residency she served as chief resident of inpatient services. She has extensive training and experience working with women who have mental health needs arising during the premenstrual period, during pregnancy and postpartum, and during the transition to menopause. She strongly believes in the utilization of psychotherapy and lifestyle changes in conjunction with evidence based use of medication to reduce distress and regain functioning. She previously served as physician-in-charge of Zucker Hillside\u2019s Perinatal Psychiatry Center and has presented nationally on the topic of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra\/Northwell and a member of the Katz Institute of Women\u2019s Health.
