She serves as the Director of Dermatopathology Resident Education and is recipient of the 2024 Northwell Health Outstanding Teacher Award. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed literature, authored several book chapters, as well as given talks at local, regional, and national dermatology and pathology conferences. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.<br \/>\nDr. Shah graduated as class salutatorian from Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Hunter with a BA in Psychology (concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience) and double minor in Biology and Religious Studies. She earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, with distinction in Community Service and Global Health.<br \/>\nShe completed her internship in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital &amp; Long Island Jewish Medical Center, receiving the &#8216;Intern of the Year&#8217; award, and her dermatology residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where patients recognized her as a &#8216;Strong Star.&#8217;<br \/>\nDr. Shah&#8217;s clinical and research interests include medical, procedural, and surgical dermatology, women\u2019s skin health, integrative dermatology, and skin of color.
