Tara is currently serving as Associate Executive Director of Culture and Experience for Peconic Bay Medical Center-Northwell Health. She began her work there in 2013, initially serving as the Associate Director of Palliative Medicine in which her interdisciplinary work achieved the hospital\u2019s inaugural Joint Commission Palliative Care Certification in 2017. In 2018, PBMC proudly opened the Caregivers Center, the first of its kind in a hospital on Long Island, dedicated to providing person-centered support, education and resources to family caregivers. Tara went on to provide peer support to six caregivers centers across the health system. Most recently, has been supporting her advocacy for family caregivers through research. Tara is humbled and honored to elevate the personal stories and experiences of family caregivers. She research and pursuit of her doctorate.
