Dr. Gianos is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Northwell Health where she is system director for Cardiovascular Prevention and director of Women’s Heart Disease at Lenox Hill. She is board certified in medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and is certified in lipidology. She directs a Cardiovascular Risk Reduction clinic to optimize patient risk factors and has created programs to optimize care in women with cardiovascular disease. She directs the Northwell Preventive Cardiology Fellowship, an independent fellowship aimed at training clinicians to recognize and optimize cardiovascular risk. She has a specific interest in diet and lifestyle and runs an annual CME conference aimed at educating clinicians in this often underemphasized area of medical education. Her research interests include improving systems for CV prevention and CV risk factor control particularly in young patients and women. She has led several inpatient initiatives for assessing patient diets through integrated EHR questionnaires, increasing utilization of guideline directed medical therapies through best practice alerts and improving nutritional content of foods served throughout hospital systems. She has also led a single center randomized controlled trial assessing various prevention strategies (IMPACT). She is currently the President-elect for the Northeast chapter of the National Lipid Association and is on the board of the directors of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. She is a member of the ATVB- Clinical Lipidology, Lipoprotein, Metabolism & Thrombosis Committee and editor for the cholesterol section of CardioSmart. Dr. Gianos attended Barnard College, New York Medical College and trained at Long Island Jewish and North Shore University for her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship.

Stacey Rosen, MD, is senior vice president for the Katz Institute for Women’s Health (KIWH), which focuses on the elimination of health care disparities through comprehensive clinical programs, gender-based research, community partnerships and education. Dr. Rosen is responsible for a comprehensive and integrated approach to women’s health.
Dr. Rosen is a practicing cardiologist. She was previously associate chair of the Department of Cardiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program.
Dr. Rosen is the Partners Council Professor of Women’s Health and Professor of Cardiology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is a volunteer for the American Heart Association with leadership positions at the local, regional and national levels — she serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Council for WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, and was previously a member of the Roundtable on Health Literacy at the National Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Rosen is a co-author of the 2018 book Heart Smart for Women, Six S.T.E.P.S. in Six Weeks to Heart-Healthy Living, which equips women of all ages with a comprehensive program for heart-healthy living.
Dr. Rosen is a graduate of the six-year medical program at Boston University School of Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians and the America Heart Association.
Dr. Supreeti Behuria is the Director of Nuclear Cardiology at Staten Island University Hospital, a member hospital of Northwell Health. She earned her BA in Mathematics and Biological Sciences at Northwestern University, and her MD at New York Medical College. She completed her residency, chief residency and cardiovascular diseases fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York. She is particularly passionate about Preventive Cardiology and Women’s Heart Health and involved in community outreach to promote health equity in Staten Island.

After a few years, Julia transitioned to Lenox Hill Hospital where she distinguishes herself in both interventional and general cardiology. Dr. Katz completed her internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and served as Chief cardiology fellow at Westchester medical Center. Trained as an invasive cardiologist she was the first female attending cardiologist to perform angiography procedures at Westchester medical center. For the next 14 years she continued to diagnose coronary disease in the Cath lab all the while interested in how to prevent this disorder completely. She now practices preventive cardiology and lifestyle management. Her Northwell practice is in Briarcliff Manor New York. She is passionate about nutrition, stress management and exercise. She understands personally and professionally the intricacies of women’s health and wellness. Partnering with her patients she acts as an ambassador for good health, working as a team to aid individuals achieve optimal health through both medical and integrative modalities.
Dr. Katz is a senior attending cardiologist at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow New York where she served as interim chair of cardiology in 2022. She is also on the medical staff of Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York. She is an assistant professor in the Department of cardiology of Hofstra University Zucker school of medicine. As a military child and a former opera singer, Ms. Nahrwold found her way to both NYC and medicine later in life. She completed the Masters Direct Entry program at Columbia University School of Nursing, ultimately earning both her BSN and MSN as part of the accelerated program. With a keen interest in pursuing cardiology as a subspecialty, she focused her education and clinical experience on this goal. She joined the preventive cardiology team at Northwell Health/Lenox Hill Hospital as a nurse practitioner in late 2018, and was promoted to senior nurse practitioner in 2022. She works in both the outpatient and inpatient setting to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, with an emphasis on ASCVD risk reduction, women’s heart health and cardiometabolic disease management. She is active in several professional organizations, including the ACC, NPA and as a committee member in the NLA.

Dr. Elizabeth Schmidt, MD, MSCI, FACS, FACOG (she/hers) is the Chief of Family Planning and the Ryan Program Director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwell. She is an Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She attended Case Western Reserve University where she graduated magma cum laude with a double major in Chemistry and Sociology, then attended the University of Rochester for Medical School. She went to North Shore University Hospital for residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and completed a fellowship in Complex Family Planning at Washington University in St. Louis, where she obtained a Masters of Clinical Science and Investigation. She then returned to Northwell where she started a now-graduated Ryan Program in Family Planning. She is a reviewer for several journals including Obstetrics and Gynecology and Contraception, is a member of the New York Obstetrical Society and faculty advisor for the Hofstra Medical Students for Choice chapter. She has published book chapters and articles on contraception and abortion, and lobbies at the state and national level for reproductive rights.
