Statement of Need: Patients with comorbid immune mediated inflammatory diseases have complex presentations which require multidisciplinary evaluation and co-management. Over the past two decades, there have been numerous advances in treatment strategies which include cytokine and small molecule inhibitors. Accordingly, physicians and advanced care providers seeing patients with comorbid inflammatory diseases should have a current and practical framework through which these patients may be evaluated and co-managed.

In recognition of gaps related to the evaluation and co-management in the care of patients with immune mediated inflammatory diseases, the Department of Dermatology at Northwell Health announces its 2025 educational conference known as “Multidisciplinary Management of Immune Mediated Inflammatory Diseases”.

Program Objectives: All Northwell Health CME activities are intended to improve patient care, safety and outcomes. At the conclusion of this conference participants should be able to:

  • Develop treatment strategies for concomitant immune mediated inflammatory diseases.
  • Discuss strategies to mitigate risks of cytokine and small molecule inhibitor therapies.
  • Recognize circumstances in which sub-specialty referral is appropriate.

Target Audience: This program is designed for physicians, physician assistants, and nurses within specialties of Dermatology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Infectious Diseases, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Oral Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Hospitalist Medicine. All other members of the healthcare team are welcome to attend.

Jointly_Accredited_ProviderJoint Accreditation Statement: In support of improving patient care, Northwell Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.
